Designation Criteria

To be recognized as a member of the MI AIM, Michigan birthing hospitals must sign an agreement each January to demonstrate their commitment to actively participate in the collaboratives educational and quality improvement activities aimed at reducing preventable maternal morbidity and mortality.

Each year, the collaborative releases its designation criteria outlining required activities for participants. Members are encouraged to review the scorecard to ensure they are meeting the standards of the collaborative. At the end of each calendar year, members are awarded a designation aligning with their engagement throughout the year. The designation categories are as follows:

  • Participation
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
